A statistical model of particle transport and heat transfer in turbulent shear flows

The objective of the paper is to present a statistical model for predicting particle transport and heat transfer in two-phase quasi-homogeneous turbulent shear flows. This statistical model is based on a kinetic equation for the probability density function of the particle velocity and temperature distributions in nonuniform turbulent flows. The model developed is applied to predict the fluctuating particle motion in both homogeneous and near-wall turbulent shear flows.
