Fast Design and Tuning of Miniaturized Cross-coupled Cavity Filter

A miniaturized cross-coupled coaxial cavity band-pass filter has been designed fast and tuned by using the HFSS dual-mode method to extract the coupling coefficients.The design method is convenient,practical and universal.The HFSS software is used to simulate the whole filter.A band-pass filter operated at L band has been designed.The filter has the features of insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB in pass-band and-20 dB of out-of-band beyond 10 MHz.The tuning method has been analyzed.
