The Species Specificity of Proteins as Observed in the Wilson Comparative Analyses Plates

A plan of study, conceived with Wilson,1 concerned a comparison of the species specificity of mammalian proteins using both rabbit and chicken antisera. The object was to determine which proteins showed the most antigenic variation between related species and which showed the least. In determining this for human proteins it was felt that comparisons within a panel of primate sera would yield the most information.
