Disclosed are a method, a terminal and a base station of assisting communication. An assisting communication relation is set up through the base station. The assisting communication relation is mutual operation data transmission carried out by an uploading frequency spectrum in a terminal utilized communication system, namely the service data transmission carried out by the uploading frequency spectrum from one terminal to another terminal between the terminals without through the base station of the assisting communication relation set up by the base station. A free frequency range in the uploading frequency spectrum is effectively invoked by the base station, the service data transmission is carried out between the terminals, and thus the effective utilization rate of the uploading frequency spectrum is improved.
