SPOOFING COUNTERMEASURE FOR GNSS RECEIVERS - A REVIEW OF CURRENT AND FUTURE RESEARCH TRENDS 4 th International Colloquium on Scientific and Fundamental Aspects of the Galileo Programme European Space Agency, Prague, 4-6 December 2013

Among various intentional interference signals, spoofing and meaconing are the most dangerous since they are designed to mislead their target receiver(s) that is (are) not aware of the attack and this can lead to disastrous consequences in scores of applications. This paper provides a summarized review of different spoofing generation and countermeasure techniques that have been recently discussed in the open literature. Different test scenarios and real data processing results have been also presented in order to show the effectiveness and applicability of anti-spoofing methods. Finally, a possible structure for a spoofing aware receiver is discussed based on the proposed antispoofing methods.
