Modeling the HF channel with Gaussian random delays

Abstract This paper models an HF channel using Gaussian random delays to explain the main properties of the Watterson model: Gaussian spectral shape, Rayleigh fading and the disappearence of specular components. Furthermore, this model leads to other more sophisticated models.
