VEHICLE TO VEHICLE COMMUNICATION USING “ VISIBLE LIGHT COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY

This paper is determined to enhance the quality of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) with the help of Visible light communication technology using an LED transmitter and a camera receiver, which employs a special CMOS image sensor which is an optical communication image sensor (OCI). The OCI consists of a “communication pixel (CPx)” that can easily respond to light intensity variations and an output circuit of a “flag image” in which only high-intensity light sources, such as LEDs, have emerged. The V2V communication system consisting of the LED transmitters placed on a leading vehicle and the camera receiver is placed on a following vehicle. The received data can be used for further development in vehicle control and to avoid collisions.
