A Lightweight Mutual Authentication Protocol for Wireless Body Area Network

Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is used to provide medical services to patients in resource-constrained environments and remote locations. Anonymous authentication and unlinkability of data are essential services for WBANs. In this paper, we propose a lightweight mutual authentication protocol for WBANs. Our proposed scheme is simulated using popular AVISPA software. The formal and informal securities of the system are analyzed rigorously and found to resistant some well known active and passive attacks. In addition, we proved the security of the session key of our proposed scheme through BAN logic.
