Design of a novel multi-frequency microstrip slot antenna

A novel multi-frequency slot antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna is similar in configuration to a conventional microstrip-fed slot antenna, however, by employing reactance loading and dual-stub fed, multi-frequency characteristic can be achieved and controlled flexibly. It is shown from both numerical and experimental results for input characteristic, radiation patterns and gain that the antenna can operated at 2.4~2.5GHz, 5.15~5.35GHz and 5.725~ 5.825GHz bands with a good performance of return losses and radiation pattern.
