Infection Due to Saprochaete capitata on Immunocompromised Patient

Oral infections by Saprochaete capitata are exceptional (formerly known as Geotrichum capitatum). They have been linked to blood disorders, especially acute leukemia associated with episodes of severe neutropenia. This paper reports the case of 26-year-old male patient with acute leukemia and neutropenia, which suffered an oral infection by Saprochaete capitata confirmed by culture.
