Painlevé analysis and Bäcklund transformation for a three-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation

In this paper, we have analysed the integrability properties of a three-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation by Painleve test and the associated Backlund transformation is constructed straightforwardly from the Painleve analysis.
