The Method of Parallel Fault Simulation Based on Stem Regions

The 4-value parallel fault simulation technology based on fanout stem regions is presented in this paper.The circuit structure is firstly partitioned into fanout-free regions and fanout stem regions,and then nonstem faults are mapped to stem faults.The number of faults is reduced to be explicitly simulated in parallel and the performance of simulator is greatly enhanced.The experimental results with a set of benchmark circuits demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approaches.
