Study on adaptive reconfigurable antenna in cognitive radio

Future radio systems, such as software defined radio and cognitive radio concepts give rise to significant challenges for antenna and in particular reconfigurable antenna. In this paper, an adaptive reconfigurable antenna system for cognitive radio is given; an efficient full-wave/network-analysis approach is used to simulate the reconfigurable antenna. The result of simulation shows that the reconfigurable antenna concerned in the paper has optimal performance. These characteristics can be utilized widely in the future systems of cognitive radio and smart antennas.
