TEST AND STUDY ON DEVELOPING COMPOSITE BURNERS WITH CAPABILITY OF STABLE COMBUSTION UNDER LOW LOAD AND SLAGGING PREVENTION UNDER HIGH LOAD

Directing against the contradiction existing actually between stable combustion under low load and slagging prevention under high load of coalfiring utility boilers, the structure concept of a new type composite burner has firstly been expounded, and measures should be taken for the said burner to ensure stable combustion under low load and slagging prevention under high load being presented. In order to understand exactly the gassolid twophase flow dynamics of the said burner, a vast amount of cold model test and fireworks tracing for various structural type and dimensions of said burner have been carried out on a single jet cold model test stand and on a corner firing furnace cold model test stand, providing basis for using the said composite burner on utility boilers. The test results show that the prospective conception of design has been achieved.
