토마스 헤더윅 작품에서 나타나는 유기적 맥락주의의 특성 연구

Thomas Heatherwick's works are mostly analyzed as organic formativenes. In modern times, accurate analysis is possible when approaching from a variety of perspectives rather than from one point of view. Context plays a very important role in a relationship that is harmonized with the surrounding environment and is not independent, and can grasp the true meaning. Based on this value, I would like to redefine Heatherwick's work with organic contextualism to present a new interpretation of his work and a view of architecture. In this study, after theoretical consideration of organic characteristics and contextualism, the correlation between the keywords derived from the preceding studies of organic architectural elements and contextualism characteristics and a new analysis framework was created as the characteristics of organic contextualism derived through them. Based on the new analysis framework, the architecture of the contextual relationship of Thomas Heatherwick is selected to understand the characteristics. he is a British designer who is attracting attention not only in architecture but also in various fields. The results of Thomas Heatherwick's analysis of works from the perspective of organic contextualism are as follows. First, he's architecture plays a role of preserving memory considering regionality and historicity, and becomes a heritage of architecture through harmony with surrounding environment. Second, the existing physical properties are converted through his experimental process with the of the skin and the new formativeness of Heatherwick is shown through the nonlinear modeling. Third, breaking away from the existing space, creating new movements and also creating experiences according to the visual perception and the intention of the space. Also, a space is created to convey memories and meanings through the architecture and to trigger perception. In this study, we were able to identify the contextual relationship between the formulation and the construction process in He's work through an organic contextual perspective, and we hope that this relationship will allow the building to have an extended meaning for communication purposes rather than just for use.
