The invention relates to a method for aligning a digitized dental technical object displayed on a monitor such as dentures or model of teeth using an input device, wherein a right-angled coordinate system with X-, Y- and Z-axis is applied. In order to allow an intuitive and easy alignment of virtual models of teeth or teeth in the context of visualization of scan data and the CAD modeling of dentures, it is proposed that the Z-axis of the coordinate system in monitor plane and X-axis perpendicular to these and that the object displayed on the monitor is penetrated from the origin of the coordinate system, and is focused on the monitor by a maximum of five degrees of freedom, wherein the first degree of freedom of rotation of the object around which the Z-axis of the coordinate system coinciding vertical axis, as the second degree of freedom restricted rotation around in spanned by the X and Y-axis of the coordinate system plane running T-axis which coincides with or substantially with the longitudinal axis of the object or with or substantially with extending between portions of the object line, as the third degree of freedom translation of the object along its longitudinal axis or the straight line u nd as a fourth degree of freedom translation of the object is selected for its zooming along X-axis.
