Robust design of high strength steel sheet metal forming process based on support vector machine and adaptive importance sampling

Noise factors cause uncertainties to the stamping part quality during high strength steel forming.A robust design method for sheet metal forming process was built based on the integration of support vector machine and adaptive importance sampling,Which quantifies impact of variations of noise factors on the stamping quality.By integrating with optimization method,a process satisfies quality reliability and optimal quality index is found.Robust design of forming process of a high strength steel part was studied.Both thinning rate and springback of stamped part was improved by using optimized process,Which verifies the effectiveness of the method.
