Performance of Indigenously Developed CsI(Tl)‐Photodiode Detector for Gamma‐ray Spectroscopy

A CsI(Tl)‐PIN photodiode detector assembly has been developed indigenously and its performance has been evaluated for the gamma‐ray spectroscopy. The detector response exhibited a good linearity in energy over the measurement range from 500 keV to 1275 keV and energy resolution of about 16% has been achieved at 662 keV.
