OPTIMIZING RIDE COMFORT

BY USING ANALOG COMPUTERS TO SOLVE THE DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS OF MODELS REPRESENTING VEHICLE SUSPENSIONS, OR BY TESTING VEHICLES ON ROADS OR DEVICES THAT SIMULATE ROAD CONDITIONS, RIDE COMFORT CAN BE IMPROVED. THE FIRST ARTICLE PRESENTS THE BASIC THEORETICAL APPROACH; PART TWO DESCRIBES THE EFFECTS OF THE ENGINE MASS AND GIVES SOME RESULTS OBTAINED ON THE SIMULATOR. /AUTHOR/
