Effects of using ICT in Teaching Mathematics

Today's modern life can not be imagined without the use of the computer.. With the development of information and computer technology have created educational software that can be used in the educational process. Specifically mathematical educational software is GeoGebra, Cabri, CAS, ToolKids and many others that can be used in teaching mathematics as teaching aids. These educational software to students offer a much better visualization, dynamism, and opportunity for independent research and deepen their knowledge by searching the Internet and repeat the operations in software usage in order to better master the subject matter.
The purpose of this master thesis is to determine the effects of application of ICT in teaching mathematics. To apply ICT in education must make changes in curricula, contents are realized, methods of work and so on. In elementary school "Dimitar Vlahov" Stip is realized teaching mathematics using educational software GeoGebra. Teaching on " Function.Proportionality " in a class of seventh grade is realized using GeoGebra. The thesis presents the results of surveys made by students about their thinking, attitudes and acceptability of instruction in applied ICT. An analysis of the results of an interview done by teachers of primary education for their readiness, education on the use of ICT in teaching and their views on educational software. In order to determine the effects of application of ICT in teaching mathematics a statistical processing of results obtained with a test of knowledge in the control and experimental group. Statistical analysis is done in the statistical package SPSS17. The comparison among our results and the similar results from Serbia and Croatia are done.
