FURTHER STUDIES ON THE STABILITY OF SUSPENSION BRIDGES IN RANDOM WINDS

The problem of aeroelastic stability of suspension bridges in random winds is studied. The criteria for almost sure stability of the equilibrium state of suspension bridges in stationary random winds are obtained and the established results are verified by a direct comparison with those of the available wind tunnel tests on models of the suspension bridges under investigation in this work.
