Soft handoff algorithm with pilot signal thresholds adjustment in CDMA cellular systems

In this paper a new soft handoff algorithm is proposed to change the pilot signal strength thresholds according to the speeds of mobile stations (MSs). This new soft handoff algorithm dynamically changes the handoff regions for supporting the soft handoffs of each MS as the speed of the MS varies during a call.
