Sexual Attitudes and Behaviors of Single Parents

ABSTRACTThis study was undertaken to determine whether or not attitudes regarding sexual behavior differ among single parents according to selected variables. A Likert-type attitude scale was devised for testing the null hypothesis which related to various aspects of sexual behavior. Data relative to sexual behavior, remarriage, divorce and the organization, Parents Without Partners, were obtained.A majority of single respondents had engaged in sex relations with the length of time single not affecting their sexual behavior. In addition, religious feelings influenced attitudes toward sexual behavior and both sexes agreed that single parents can have a satisfactory sex life.
