Methods of Synthesis of Peptides

Chemical methods for the activation of the carboxy-groups of the aminoacid used to synthesise peptides are examined, and the possible reaction mechanisms are described. Examples of the synthesis of certain peptides are presented. The bibliography includes 151 references.
