Spectrally Efficient 800 Gbps/Carrier WDM Transmission with 100-GHz Spacing Using Probabilistically Shaped PDM-256QAM

We demonstrate 800-Gbps/carrier WDM transmission at 100 GHz-spacing. 8-Tbps $(800-\text{Gbps}/\text{carricr}\times 10\ \text{carriers})$ transmission over 400 km is achieved using 82-GBd probabilistically shaped PDM-256QAM with 8-bps/Hz spectral efficiency. High SNR is realized by precise compensation for transceiver's frequency response.
