Sensitivity analysis of shortwave atmospheric correction through combined radiative transfer and multi-angular methods

Presents a method and preliminary results for sensitivity analysis of shortwave atmospheric correction using a combined radiative transfer and multi-angular method. The analysis is focused on the use of the dual look capability of the Second Along-Track Scanning Radiometer (ATSR-2) to correct for the effects of atmospheric scattering. The spectral correlation of bi-directional reflectance is investigated as a means to retrieve aerosol loading over non-Lambertian surfaces.<<ETX>>
