MASDK software tool and technology supported

The paper presents multi-agent software tool, MASDK 3.0, destined to support the development and deployment of knowledge intensive multi-agent applications. This software tool implements recently developed well grounded Gaia methodology known as one of the most promising modern multi-agent systems' methodologies. MASDK software tool implements graphical style of analysis and design for multi-agent applications, exploits the software reusability idea, supports integrity of solutions made at different development stages and uses the latest standardization proposals resulting from joint efforts of FIPA and OMG within Agent UML Project. It supports the whole life cycle of multi-agent application including the resulting system modification if necessary. The peculiarities of MASDK use at analysis, design, implementation and deployment stages are demonstrated via a "toy" case study, system for flood monitoring and prediction.
