User Defined Modeling Method and Its Application for Excitation System

A method of user defined modeling(UDM) for excitation system known as improved plug-in modeling technique(IPMT) is proposed.IPMT divides the whole transfer function of the excitation system into two user-defined basic transfer blocks, namely state variables and non-state variables,in order to form the mathematical model. The UDM program based on IPMT is compiled, which incorporates the ability to analyze model configuration and balance initial value. An introduction is given to explain the fundamentals of writing model files, and the connection between UDM program and main simulation program is illustrated.Compared with the conventional modeling approaches, the method is convenient in balancing initial value, and creating new models by reusing the existed ones. Finally, several examples are used to verify the accuracy and expansibility of the UDM program based on IPMT.
