Procedure for storing containers (2) in which a fuel rod (20) or a segment fuel rod respectively, comprising the following process steps are encapsulated: a) introducing the containers (2) in a case of encapsulation (222) open on the upper side and having a plurality of grid spacers (229), b) sealing fluid tight cassette encapsulation (222) with a cover (234), c) placing on the case encapsulating (222) a cover (230) provided with a suction lance (232) projecting inside the case encapsulation and which is fluidically connected to a suction conduit (236) guided through the cover, d) sucking water in the case of encapsulation (222) through the suction lance (223), e) washing case encapsulation (222) with purge gas (G), f) washing the case of encapsulation (222 ) with a gas calent amiento (H) up to absolute moisture content (X) of a predetermined threshold value (Xg), g) welding the lid (230) with the case of encapsulation (222) and welding an opening (237) provided on the lid (230) and that goes towards the suction lance (232) with a welding device (240) housed in the cover (234).
