Improved algorithm for the retrieval of aerosol optical depth using the sunphotometer CE 318

Different effects on the accuracy of sunphotometer are analyzed and improved algorithm has been used to get high inversion precision of aerosol optical depth, respectively in the sun zenith angle,air mass,Rayleigh optical depth,and total ozone concentration.As a comparison of the retrieval method used in those references,many factors are considered one by one,and then integrated analysis of various ones,and an algorithm of high accuracy for the sunphotometer data processing is suggested,which has been used in the observation over Taihu Lake in China.The results show that there is a good effect on the precision of retrieved aerosol optical depth by the use of this improved algorithm,which will be helpful for the sunphotometer and its data processing.
