Anchor-and-adjustment behaviour in a dynamic decision environment

Abstract Research on the anchor-and-adjustment paradigm has concentrated on discrete, static judgment tasks rather than on decision making in a continuous, dynamic environment. In the experiment reported, we found anchoring-and-adjustment occurring in a continuous, dynamic environment. We also established that the anchoring-and-adjustment model differed from the classical models in both fit and economic performance.
