A Petri Net Based Method for Resource Estimation

This work presents a combined reachabilitystructural methodology for computing the number of functional units in hardware/software co-design context considering timing constraints. The proposed method extends some previous works in the sense that data-dependency has been captured and considered in the functional unit estimation methodology. The proposed hardware/software co-design framework uses Petri net as common formalism for performing quantitative and qualitative analysis.
