Signal processing for Ka-band FMCW miniature SAR/GMTI system

Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems are gaining more and more attention for earth observation with the compact size, light weight and low cost. A Ka-band FMCW miniature SAR/GMTI system is being developed by Shandong Institute of Aerospace Electronic Technology which aims at high resolution imaging and moving target indication. In order to validate the system design, signal processing algorithms including high resolution imaging and moving target indication are investigated. Furthermore, as multiple moving targets may exist in real scenes, a processing method for multiple moving targets is discussed in this paper. Simulation results validate the processing methods and the system design is also proved to be reasonable.
