Secondary Development of Planar Four-bar Linkage with SolidWorks

In the traditional design of planar four-bar linkage, designers always firstly work out the parameter which includes the length etc.through manual calculating by formula. Then finish the part modeling by 3D software. In this process, design and modeling are separated.Design cycle is long and is not repeatable. That's inconvenience. Now I take crank and rocker mechanism for example, whcih is designed by drivenlink's quick-return characteristics, and use VB and Macro in SolidWorks 2007 to finish the codes and interface design of planar four-bar linkage. So then complete the design combined with the modeling. This innovation makes the design repeatable, and the cycle is highly short.
