A Nonlinear System Identification in the Analysis of Offshore Structure Dynamics in Random Waves

A stochastic dynamical system model is introduced for the dynamics of offshore structure moored in the sea. A statistical method is given to identify the stochastic dynamical system model. Numerical results of an application of the identification method to surge data of a moored ship are discussed.
