Relationships of Cooperation and Competition between Competitors

In this paper we are elaborating on the various relationships existing among competitors both on an activity and resource level as well as on an individual level. The inclusion of competitors has led us to focus on activities and roles instead of positions in vertical or horizontal settings. We argue that the character of the activities and the resources used will affect both cooperative and competitive interactions among competitors. Furthermore, as earlier studies have shown, are social relationships between individuals of outmost importance for the relationships to work successfully. We argue that this is accurate especially when dealing with individuals involved in activities between competitors.
