The first aryldiazenido complex of platinum(IV): an NMR study on the addition of aryldiazonium to platinum(II)

para-Methoxybenzenediazonium cation oxidatively adds to a platinum(II) complex, 4,4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-bipyridine-chelated 9,10-dihydroplatinaanthracene, resulting in the first directly observed aryldiazenido complex of platinum(IV). Multinuclear nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data (including 15N via 15N-1H gHMBC) are reported.
