Singly and Doubly Asymptotic Computational Boundaries

The class of problems addressed in this symposium involves the numerical computation of wave fields in and/or around a body residing within an unbounded domain. Each of these problems may be regarded as one of the following types: Type 1: The analyst is interested in the fields over a large region surrounding the body, Type 2: The analyst is (a) interested only in the fields in the vicinity of the body, or (b) not interested in the fields outside the body.
