Research on effect of PSF on point target detection performance

As a point target detection of staring infrared imaging system is considered,a traditional analysis method of detection performance is modified and a mathematical model on signal-to-noise ratio and maximum detection range in actual imaging situation based on linear PSF theory.Point target detection performance in actual and ideal situation and the precision of simulated results are analyzed based on aperiodic transfer function and target size function.As typical infrared imaging system is concerned,the effect of PSF cannot be ignored in terms of analysis result.
