PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device and a positioning method for a column and a steel pipe pile capable of accurately positioning the column and the steel pipe pile and permitting reuse without creating any defect in design and appearance after completion of work. SOLUTION: This device comprises a receiving portion 22 having a screw hole 24 and a leg portion 23; a plurality of a lower supporting members 21 attached to the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe pile 1 in a detachable manner; a screw inserting hole 31 provided by corresponding to a screw hole 24 provided at the receiving portion 22 of the lower supporting member 21; a ring-shaped upper supporting member 30 fixed to the outer periphery of a column 10, a long bolt 35 screwed to a screw hole 24 provided at a receiving portion 22 of the lower supporting member 21 with the diameter smaller than that of the screw inserting hole 31 provided at the upper supporting member 30; the column 10 is inserted to the steel pipe pile 1; a screw inserting hole 31 of the upper supporting member 30 is fitted to the long bolt 35 and is fixed after adjusting the up-down direction and tilt, and the position of the horizontal direction of the column 10.
