SUM Demonstration Experiments Completed

This document is the “Demonstration Experiments Completed” report of the Surveillance in an Urban environment using Mobile sensors Project, corresponding to the Contract A-0827-RT-GC [AD. 2] of the “Defence R&T Joint Investment Programme on Force Protection” (A-0120-RT-GC) under the Call “Data Analysis, including Data Fusion from various Sources” (A-0444-RT-GC). The purpose of this document is to compile the tests conducted on the SUM demonstrator during the Test Campaign to assess the technological lines and approaches explored and developed in the SUM project. Therefore, the Test Campaign has a twofold purpose: • To assess the technical performance of the system. So, aimed at obtaining data concerning the operation of the demonstrator and their individual subsystems. • To demonstrate the system capabilities to the EMG members and the other attendees. So, focused on providing a view of the technological development and progress achieved during the project. The Test Campaign was held in March 2012 to these ends. A set of tests were conducted on the demonstrator to measure its performance in different scenarios and with different types of threats to give a proof of feasibility of the technological lines followed in the project. During this Campaign, a Visitor’s Day was arranged so as to demonstrate the system capabilities to the EMG members and other participants. The feedback received will be incorporated into the next deliverables of the SUM project.
