Application of Straight-line Vacuum Preloading Method in Soft Base Reinforcement

The conventional vacuum preloading method is optimized to be straight-line vacuum preloadingmethod in the project,which gives up medium-coarse sand,drain boards and filters are connected to reduce vacuumdegree transmission path,decrease energy consumption and reach the planned effect. The theoretical computationand detection result prove that the application of straight-line vacuum preloading method saves cost and realizesreasonable construction period in contrast with the conventional technology. The improved soft base detection resultsmeet the engineering requirements for soft soil compression coefficient,water content,void ratio,consolidationdegree,settlement rate and vane-shear strength.
