The intensity of [O I] 5577 in the subauroral region as a function of magnetic activity

The intensity of [O I] 5577 at Fritz Peak, Colorado, and Rapid City, South Dakota, is found to increase with increasing planetary magnetic activity. The nature of the increase is similar to but smaller than that observed in the auroral zone.
