Perspectives of the electrodialysis intensification

The factors that limit the mass transfer through ion-exchange membranes and existent methods of their elimination are analyzed. On the basis of theoretical and experimental investigations of electroosmosis of the second kind and non-stationary polarization processes the possibility of their use for intensification of electrodialysis is proved.
