Analysis of Nonlinear Variable Frequency Control for Dual-Input Switched-Capacitor Networks Converter

Switched-capacitor (SC) converters were initially introduced for low-power applications and monolithic integration. This paper proposed a novel dual-input cascaded SC networks converter which overcomes some disadvantages included in traditional SC converter. Meanwhile, constant on-time variable frequency (CVTOF) control method is adopted into the converter which can greatly counteract the external interference and enable system possess good dynamic performance. Through the detailed operation analysis, advantages of the CVTOF control method, such as low current stress, high efficiency and high switching frequency, can be demonstrated. Finally, simulation results convince the superiority of topology and control strategy.
