Sustainable Mass Customized Enterprise: Key Concepts, Enablers and Assessment Techniques

Mass customization enterprises undergo governments and society pressure urging them to carry out sustainable development. The present paper attempts to scrutinise main issues related to sustainability and mass customization through a literature survey. The latter provided the basis for the definition of Sustainable Mass Customized Enterprise and points out several critical issues; in particular customer demands management that gets more complicated with inclusion of sustainability considerations.
