A simplified model for the combustion of multicomponent fuels in air

The classical flame-sheet model is extended for multicomponent fuels where the reaction rates of the individual components differ widely. The restrictions and approximations implicit in the model are developed. A numerical example for a 50% hydrogen-50% powdered boron fuel burning in air is presented.
