Harmonic characteristics of distributed generation and electric vehicle integrating to the grid

High penetration of distributed generation and electric vehicles has become an important feature of China's future power grid. However, it also causes serious harmonic pollution to the grid. In this article, we set up harmonic analysis model of distributed generation and electric cars, and then, using the Fourier transform method, measure the harmonic in grid including distributed generation and electric vehicle. This paper focuses on the research and analysis of the harmonic characteristics in grid with distributed generation and electric vehicles considering different access locations, access capacities and access modes. Finally, some suggestions are provided for power grid supervisors.
