Design by optimization of power electronics converter including EMC constraints

This paper illustrates a global design methodology in the case of a simple switching cell, used in a DC-DC converter. The aim is to account simultaneously for all parameters and constraints involved in the design of the converter: thermal aspects, EMC filter and design of passives. Specific models are developed, validated and implemented in a dedicated optimization framework. Results are discussed, with a specific emphasis on EMC filter.
