CLÍNICA E TRATAMENTO DAS INFECÇÕES PELOS VÍRUS Herpes Símplex TIPO 1 E 2

As infeccoes pelos virus herpes simplex sao conhecidas da raca humana desde a antiguidade. Estes virus sao responsaveis por uma gama de infeccoes que vao desde erupcoes cutâneas ate quadros graves de encefalite. Atualmente, um antiviral especifico para estes virus, o aciclovir, esta disponivel para o tratamento destas infeccoes. Nesta revisao, o uso do aciclovir e discutido em relacao as diversas manifestacoes da infeccao herpetica.
